Photos : President Muhammadu Buhari Gets Another Traditional Title

According to Vanguard , President Buhari has gotten a traditional title, Bayajidda Daura II. The title was conferred on him by the Emir of Daura, Umar Faruk during a courtesy call to the Emir while on a private visit to his native town yesterday June 19.

The title symbolizes Bajayyida, the legendary Hausa ruler who reportedly killed the famous snake inside Daura's Kusugu well and later established the seven Hausa states.

The traditional ruler extolled the virtues of the president and expressed optimism that Buhari's leadership will reposition the nation for the better. On the occasion, the emir presented a gold-plated sword and horse to symbolise his appointment as Bayajidda II. More photos below...
