Rihanna & Chris Brown’s Secret Backstage Conversation: What She Told Him At BET

We all saw Rihanna singing and dancing along during Chris Brown’s performance at the BET Awards…but there was more to it than that! RiRi even went backstage and sweetly wished her ex luck before the show, HollywoodLife.com has EXCLUSIVELY learned!

Regardless of what happened between Rihanna and Chris Brown in the past, she proved to be completely supportive of her ex at the BET Awards on June 28! Before singing along to Chris’ epic performance during the show, the “Four Five Seconds” singer supported him backstage during his rehearsal, and had some nice words of encouragement to share, too!


“Rihanna didn’t walk the red carpet, but she did see Chris backstage to watch his rehearsal,” an insider tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “It was very brief and absolutely no one was allowed back there to see them. She told him to have a good show, watched about a minute or two of the rehearsal, and then left.”
The timing of this whole ordeal is pretty interesting, considering Chris has been going through a pretty rough time with his ex, Karrueche Tran, 27, who also attended the awards show, right now. Perhaps Rihanna was just doing her best to offer the “Loyal” singer some support amid this crazy time in his life?
Overall, it has been a big year for Chris. His and Karrueche’s relationship trouble actually started because she found out he cheated on her with Nia Guzman, and fathered a child, Royalty, out of the affair. And even though RiRI and Chris’ backstage reunion was brief, she wasn’t shy about showing her ex some love publicly during the show — she proudly mouthed the words and was seen dancing in her seat during the performance! Too cute.
