Popular Nollywood actress, Shan George who recently threatened pirates with “local charm”, has called on the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), to probe Nollywood.
Shan told EFCC, to beam to beam its searchlight on the movie industry after the ‘Bank of Industry’ denied receiving $200million from the former President Goodluck Jonathan for the movie industry.
According to Daily Post, the actress said she believed that the money had been squandered by some people in the industry.
Shan said “I’m using this fine morning to ask this fine question. Who ate the money ex-president Jonathan gave to Nollywood? EFCC please probe this”.
It can be recalled that Nollywood actor, Lari Williams called President Muhammadu Buhari to probe the $200million released to the movie industry by the immediate past administration but the ‘Bank of Industry’ released a statement, saying that they did not receive any money.
