AKA, Baby Mama Split Few Weeks After Welcoming Baby

 

South African rapper, AKA, and his urban DJ girlfriend, DJ Zinhle have parted ways on mutual consent few weeks after having their first baby, Kairo.

The DJ baby mama released a statement of their disengagement via her website. She wrote,

In a joint statement, the couple said: “After a great deal of thought, reflection and discussion we have decided to end our relationship of three years. We entered our relationship with love and it’s with love and kindness we leave it. We both wish nothing but a great future for each other and remain dear and trusted friends as well as co-parents to our wonderful baby Kairo, whose happiness and well-being remains our number one priority. We both deeply care for each other and remain close friends.”

Dj Zinhle, whose full name is Zinhle Jiyane, and AKA, real name Kiernan Forbes, have asked for privacy on the issue, maintaining that they won’t grant any interview.

AKA reportedly  paid damages to Zinhle’s family over the weekend. He respected the Zulu tradition by paying a cow, goat and cash to the family for impregnating their daughter out of wedlock.
AKA and Zinhle’s relationship lastedfor three years but was largely private. It became public when Zinhle became pregnant.
Meanwhile, Tanzanian singer, Diamond Platnumz also had his first child with girlfriend, Zari Hassan, not long ago but got involved in a paternity mess.
