Its no news that Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has lost patience with Eden Hazard as the Belgian was dropped to the bench on Saturday against Aston Villa. The Portuguese tactician is now looking into signing Sevilla's Yevhen Konoplyanka . He was reported to have told a fellow manager that he was checking on his transfer target in Ukraine earlier this week.
Mourinho was in Kiev on Monday for Spain's 1-0 win over Ukraine and Konoplyanka is said to have been one of a number of potential signings he was taking a look at.
Shakhtar Donetsk manager Mircea Lucescu spoke to Mourinho and said the winger, along with Andriy Yarmolenko and Alex Teixeira, were all being considered for moves to Stamford Bridge. Lucescu said :
'Mourinho is interested in Yevhen Konoplyanka . I was at Ukraine vs Spain with Mourinho and he is interested in some players.Perhaps it is Yarmolenko or Teixeira, if not, then it is Konoplyanka.'Konoplyanka is cup-tied for the Champions League so is unlikely to move in January but could be considered for a summer move if Mourinho deems him a worthwhile signing.
The 26-yr-old only moved to Spain from Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk this summer but he has long been a target of Barclays Premier League clubs including Stoke City and Liverpool.
