4. I see another World War (Russia Vs America)
5. Washington and NewYork should pray against terrorist attacks in 2016

Priest Kidnappers Demand N100 Million Ransom

The suspected kidnappers of two Catholic priests who were abducted in Delta state have reportedly established contact with the Issele-Uku Diocese and demanded a ransom of N100 million.

Rev. Fr. Franklyn Odiaka and Rev. Fr. Moses Nwanochei were kidnapped last Friday in the vicinity of Obior, Aniocha North local government area of Delta state after they leaving an official ceremony in honour of their bishop, Most Rev. Michael Elue.
A source within the Diocese, who spoke to Vanguard under the condition of anonymity, said the abductors contacted some of the priests in the diocese.
While emphasising that the church has begun to pray for the release of the priests, the source said that the kidnappers insisted on receiving the N100 million ransom before the priests are released.
Police spokesman Deputy Superintendent of Police Celestina Kalu, who confirmed that the priests had been kidnapped, however, he also said that the church had not lodged a formal complaint to the police.
Kalu said in a statement: “Up until now, the police command has not received a formal or official report from the Catholic Church.”
Meanwhile, members of the Assumption Catholic Church, Zappa, Asaba have appealed for members of the public to offer their prayers to God and entreat him to protect the kidnapped priests and grant them unconditional release from their abductors.
Another source in the church told newsmen that two prayer sessions were held yesterday after the usual Sunday masses, adding that “the first session which began by 2pm involved all women in the church while the second one which began by 4.30pm involved all the parishioners.”
The whereabouts of two men of God who were kidnapped in southern Nigeria remain unknown.

Biafra War: Obasanjo Warns Nigerians Of Second Biafra War

Following speculation of a second Biafra war, ex-Nigerian president Olusegun Obasanjo, has asked Nigerians to understand the need to embrace peace and dialogue instead of beating drums of war.
Chief Olusegun Obasanjo has urged Nigerians to embrace peace and try dialogue other than a second Biafra war.
In a recent dialogue with pressmen, the former general stressed that there is a need for better communication, other than gunning for  another round of civil war.
Reacting to the spate of protests and demonstrations by pro-Biafra agitators in some parts of the southeast and Lagos recently, he said: “Our differences could only be addressed when issues are discussed instead of going to war”.
“We do not need another civil war. We had fought one before. I was part of it.
“I saw with my eyes. I heard with my ears. I smelled with my nose. What we need is better communication. And I am here to communicate with you,” Obasanjo informed.
He further noted that: “What I enjoy most is the cultural diversity. Earlier in the week, I was in Benue State and I enjoyed the cultural dance. Since I arrived here yesterday I have enjoyed the cultural dances. What we need to address is how to reduce unemployment, how to reduce poverty, and how to hold our leaders accountable to their promises.
In the same vein, the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC) has urged the federal government to dialogue with members of the Movement for the Actualisation of Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) and the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
The OPC strongly opined that it is only through dialogue that pro-Biafra agitators can be made to drop the Biafra agitation and ultimately the idea of  a Biafra state.

Dasuki Allegedly Stole $6bn Not $2.1bn - Falana

Fresh facts have emerged contrary to reports that former National Security Adviser (NSA), Sambo Dasuki allegedly swindled $2.1billion meant for arms procurement.
According to human rights lawyer, Mr Femi Falana, Dasuki allegedly stole $6billion as against the amount being peddled in the media, and has vowed to drag him to the International Criminal Court (ICC) next week.
Femi Falana believes that former National Security Adviser (NSA), Sambo Dasuki allegedly stole $6 billion.

According to Breaking Times, Falana made this revelation while delivering a lecture organised by the Amnesty International (AI), in Abuja, where he also argued that Dasuki must be prosecuted for crimes against humanity.
The human rights activist also disputed media reports that President Muhammadu Buhari was engaging in impunity by detaining the alleged suspects for more than 48 hours, saying it was untrue.
According to him: “Last week some people were arrested. I think three of them principally (Dasuki, Raymond Dokpesi, and Attahiru Bafarawa). Again, contrary to media report, the suspects were not arrested for diverting the some of $2.1 billion as it has been reported by the press,  but for diverting and misappropriating and conerring $6 billion. I am talking of $2.1 billion and N643 billion.
“Now in any part of the world, this is a serious crime that affects the generality of Nigerians, that affects our right to development, that led to the untimely death of over 5,000 soldiers, and 20,000  civilians that have been massacred by the dreaded Boko Haram terrorists.
“This fund was earmarked for procuring military hardware to prosecute the war on terror,  but a gang of people sat down and resolved and decided to corner the fund, and continue to deceive our people that adequate weapons have been procured for our soldiers and therefore they are indolent, and cowardly by not fighting to defeat the Boko Haram sect.
“Perhaps,  unlike most Nigerians I feel more pain. I feel more challenged, because I have defended scores of military officers and soldiers on pro-bono basis because I was convinced that these funds were diverted and therefore, why are you charging these innocent people with cowardly behaviour which attracts the death penalty”.
“Those who stole the money meant for procuring arms must not go unchallenged, nobody must invoke human rights, no lawyer must be permitted to invoke human rights to cover these crimes against humanity.
“They went beyond just stealing and by next week we are filing a petition before the international Criminal Court (ICC) to ask that these guys be tried for crime against humanity because we are only talking of those who are alive, what of thousands that have been killed recklessly because of this kind of irresponsibility on the part of a few people.
“Let me clarify this, the right to liberty is guaranteed by Section 35 of the Nigerian constitution, as well as article 6 of the African Charter that nobody shall have his right to liberty taken away or abridged or violated. However, this is not an absolute right if there is reasonable suspicion that you have committed a criminal offence your right to liberty can be taken by the state.
“Therefore,  when you are told by the media that the Buhari regime is  engaging in impunity by arresting people without taking them to court within 48 hours is no longer in our law. I made this point on Sunday and no one has challenged me.
“Transparency International is being hypocritical by saying Nigeria is more corrupt than Switzerland,  that is loose talk. Switzerland houses all the funds stolen by all dictators including dictators that have no records of how much they hold,  dictators that have died and nobody has the record of what is kept in Switzerland. So, TI will leave Switzerland alone and say Nigeria is corrupt. We are only a victim of corruption.”
Speaking also on the loots recovered from late Sani Abacha, Falana noted that “the Federal Government has a record of $2 billion recovered Abacha loot, but our former minister of Finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala claimed that only $500 million have been recovered.
“To help her, the World Bank has just issued a report, a package of lies, a 700-page report to say that this $500 million that was recovered under her watch was judiciously spent and they have listed roads that were not even in existence in Nigeria that were tarred. We are taking them on, and this will be the last time the World Bank will tell lies about this country.
“Contrary to the claim of the World Bank and the government of Nigeria, I say without any fear of contradiction that not less than $4 billion has been recovered from the Abacha loot. It is the most successful recovered loot in the world, and the records are there.
“(Abdulsalami) Abubakar regime issued a decree, the forfeiture decree No 45 of 1999 where the regime claimed that it recovered about $1 billion; Obasanjo has just written some book, and am not sure he knew the implication, in the second volume of his ‘My Watch’, Obasanjo has admitted that he recovered $2 billion, £100 million and N10 billion”
“The Jonathan administration also recovered $970 million; the US government has helped us to recover $458 million last year. Buhari should set up an enquiry to investigate how the Abacha loot was relooted.”
Meanwhile, the former governor of Anambra state, Jim Nwobodo, who was named by the former NSA as one of the beneficiaries of the arms funds, has denied media reports that he collected N500 million from Ahmed Muazu, former national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Speaking in a telephone interview on Wednesday, December, 16, the ex-governor revealed that he received the sum of N100 million from the PDP for “campaign logistics” and not from the former NSA.

Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers state urges women to pray for him

According to him, his administration has impacted positively on the lives of the people of the state through his development programmes and commitment to the welfare of the people.
He said: “I will do everything in my power and capacity as the governor of Rivers State to support FIDA and the women of Rivers State. Women can be provocative, it should not be an excuse for men to be violent towards women.
“Our men should be taught to exercise more self control and our women should be less provocative. Men should be the best they can be as husbands so that they can look after their wives.”

Call Pastor T.B Joshua And His Men To Order- Group Charges

A group, Arigidi Leaders Of Thought has asked the Ondo state government and security operatives in the state to caution the senior pastor of the Synagogue Church Of All Nations (SCOAN), Pastor Temitope Joshua “and his agents to order and allow the prevailing peace in Arigidi Akoko to continue.”
T.B Joshua

In a statement made available to our reporter by the group, the group accused T.B Joshua and his agents of unwholesome activities in the last five years in Arigidi Akoko, Ondo state.
“Shortly after transition of the former king into eternity, two prominent princes, among others, showed their interest to succeed the late king.
“The two are the incumbent, Oba Yisa Olanipekun and Prince Tunde Olanipekun, who is a member of Pastor Joshua’ church. After a thorough and profound selection process, the kingmakers settled for Oba Yisa Olanipekun with a vote of nine out of fourteen (9-14).
“The latest was last week when a group of war mongers decided to celebrate their own traditional Ajagbo festival, long after the traditional festival, which is traditionally held in the month of September, has ended.
“Expectedly, it led to trouble and a serious breach of peace, as those opposed to the desecration of the town’s age long tradition stood up to stop the abominable act.
“It took God’s grace and the wisdom of some leaders in the town to avert what may have been a bloodshed. We are particularly surprised with the actions and antics of Pastor Joshua and these people since the installation of Kabiyesi Oba Yisa Olanipekun,” the statement reads in part.
The group said the pastor failed to use his office as a prominent son of the town to attract development to Arigidi Akoko like other religious leaders have done with their homestead.
“We are aware that Pastor David Oyedepo of Winners Chapel has used his position to transform his hometown into an enviable position in Kwara State. It is the same with other foremost men of God, whose good deeds have rubbed off on their place of birth.
“It is no surprise that Arigidi Akoko has failed to witness any tangible development, because these people have sworn to ensure that no form of development comes to the town.
The group said as concerned leaders, it is appealing to all concerned to sheath their sword and join hands with Oba Olanipekun to develop the town for common heritage.
“While we appeal to Pastor Joshua and others in the different camps, we also want to call on all security agencies in Ondo State, especially the police, to ensure that they do their job without any form of bias.
We are aware that there is a form of connivance between these people and the people, and would therefore want to urge the Inspector General of Police to call his men to order in this matter.

MEET Child Trafficking Syndicate That Issues Receipts After Selling Babies (PHOTO)

Members of a child trafficking syndicate has explained how they sell babies and grown up children for between N250,000 and N1million and issue receipts after doing so.
The suspects who were nabbed by the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) at the Delta state police command confessed to have engaged in the business as a way of helping pregnant girls make money, as well as provide children for married couples who don’t have children.
About five children suspected to have been sold by the group which operates in Delta, Anambra, Cross River, Akwa-Ibom and Rivers states, were rescued by SARS, Information Nigeria reports.
In their confessions, they revealed: “We sold babies between 1-5 years of age to those who have been married for several years without children. Some of us are nurses and supportive members of staff of health institutions.
The group of women involved in the sales of babies in Delta state and environs

“We do not know how the police got wind of our illicit businesses while we were operating in Asaba and Onitsha. In most cases, a child costs between N250,000 to N500,000 while grown-up ones are sold for N1m.”
After being caught and incapacitated, the suspects reportedly took the SARS operatives to Akwa-Ibom where two other suspected members of the gang were arrested and two children, rescued.
Patience Okon, one of the suspects said: “since their mothers cannot take care of their babies because of lack of money, we normally arrange for wealthy parents who have no children but in need of children, to come and buy from us and take them away.
“We issue receipts of payment to them, we don’t steal the children as police are alleging but the mothers of these children in most cases opt for their children to be sold. Some of them don’t even know the men who impregnate them while some would be hiding from their parents. So we actually help them to solve their problems.
“We were just helping out some persons who are in need. We are not human traffickers even though we make money from it. The mothers of the babies wanted to throw them away so we came to assist these young girls so that they would not throw away the babies or kill them.”
Confirming the incident was the state’s commissioner of police, Alkali Baba Usman, who stated that the SARS operatives quickly sprung into action when they heard about the inter-state human and child trafficking syndicate cell in Asaba.
The leader of the gang was immediately arrested alongside her husband who was said to have confessed to the crime and led the officers to their different hideouts in other states.
A hospital matron was also recently arrested for being involved in the sale of a one-day-old baby in a Lagos hospital.

Biafra Protest: Take Our Oil, But Give Us Freedom- Zionists Lament (Video)

Supporters of the movement for the actualization of Biafra, have taken to the streets in Central London demanding the release of their Nnamdi Kanu. Kanu, head of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) group and director of the London-based radio station Radio Biafra.
The Independent People Of Biafra staged a protest in central London, demanding the release of Nnamdi Kanu.
Kanu was arrested in Lagos earlier in October, and in the wake of his arrest, there have been series of protests in the Southeastern region of Nigeria and other places around the world.
There were claims by the Department of State Services (DSS), that Kanu was released on bail, but his supporters claim that he is still being detained and is yet to resumed his activities on Radio Biafra.
IBTimes UK reports that the Biafran agitators accuse the Nigerian police of violence. However, the police have denied these claims, arguing that the Biafra advocates hold violent protests and threaten the peace of the nation.
According to Amnesty International, there are “credible evidence that pro-Biafran separatists in Nigeria are targeted by police”.
Meanwhile, the Nigerian government has said that it does not consider the separatist movement as a threat to the current administration.
The government has described the pro-Biafrans as an “insignificant number of frustrated people who are not a threat to the existence of Nigeria”.
Here is a video from the peaceful protest in London, demanding Kanu’s release and ultimately the freedom of the Biafran people.
In the video, pro-Biafra activists made it clear that they would give “their Oil” in exchange for the sovereign state of Biafra.
They boasted that Biafra as a republic would be able to stand without revenue generated from petroleum.
Watch video below:

Protests by Biafra agitators continue across cities within the Southeast of Nigeria, as questions regarding the safety and health of the Radio Biafra director, are being raised.

Critics Should Know What Governor Ambode Did In 100 Days

Editor’s note: In tandem with the traditional account for the first 100 days spent in office, the governors who were sworn in on May 29, had marked this milestone in various ways. The governor of Lagos state is one of those who are openly criticised for not having been able to make any tangible achievements so far. However, Akeem Soboyede, a public affairs commentator, who wrote on The Punch, has in this opinion article enumerated what he feels are some of the accomplishments of Akinwunmi Ambode, the Lagos boss.
Governor Akinwunmi Ambode
Ambode literally hit the ground running on the issue of protecting lives and property in the state that is unarguably Nigeria’s economic nerve-centre and the most populous. The latter certainly make the protection of lives and infrastructure a policy imperative in Lagos.
Barely weeks after his inauguration as governor, Ambode during a dinner organised by the Lagos state Security Trust Fund unveiled plans to strengthen the existing state anti-robbery squad, the rapid response squad, as well as create an integrated security and emergency control platform. Donations totaling over N1bn were received or pledged at this event, by corporate organisations in the state as well as security-conscious individuals.

The move to stop Lagos traffic-jam

Ambode has equally focused on dispelling the myth of Lagos as a metropolis perpetually choked by slow-moving traffic, or the ubiquitous “go-slows”. Since coming into office, he has visited many areas of Lagos prone to traffic congestion, and announced initiatives aimed at reversing the trend.
One of such has been directed at resolving the near-perpetual traffic gridlock that has made the Apapa area of the state a dreaded destination for motorists. The main culprits in this regard are the petrol tanker drivers who swarm the area’s 57 tank farms at all periods of the day to load their products. Perpetual traffic quagmires have been the long-running legacy of this “loading” activity.
Soon after taking office, Ambode took efforts to ameliorate the scourge by establishing a task force to ensure drivers waiting to load petrol did not park their vehicles indiscriminately along the roads to the tank farms, thus impeding traffic. He also emphasised that the Lagos Road Traffic Law that prohibited such activity on the part of the drivers in the first place would be enforced to the letter.
Governor Ambode has not restricted his transportation initiatives only to the Apapa axis of the state. Within the first few weeks of being sworn into office, the governor embarked on inspection visits to many parts of the state, primarily to ascertain the state of the roads in those locations. Areas toured include those in the Ipaja, Mosan-Okunola, Oshodi-Isolo, Ikotun-Ejigbo and Somolu axis of the state. During his tour, the government also announced plans to rehabilitate roads that were in a deplorable state in those areas.

Re-positioning the Lagos government

Shortly on assumption of office last May 29, the governor met with permanent secretaries in the state, wherein he revealed his plan to re-position the civil service, in order to make it more efficient and service-driven. Such a vision, according to Ambode, would involve the streamlining of some ministries, departments and agencies to cut the cost of governance in the state.
Ambode subsequently announced his decision to realign the ministry of rural development, parastatals monitoring office as well as political and legislative powers bureau. He also scrapped the office of the special adviser on taxation and revenue in the debt management office, while merging the office of works with the office of infrastructure, among other significant policy initiatives.

Ambode and the critics

Not everyone in Lagos has exactly lauded Governor Ambode’s policies in these first 100 days of his administration. Certain critics, particularly those in the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, have criticised what they see as the governor’s desire to borrow his way through the fiscal challenges of a vast metropolis like Lagos.
They cite his alleged move to obtain a N3.94bn loan from the World Bank. Beyond the vagueness of such claims, such critics clearly underrate Ambode’s capacity for fiscal discipline and management of resources. They are clearly not aware that while Ambode served as a senior civil servant in Lagos managing the state treasury office, he revolutionised how the state’s finances were raised, budgeted, managed and planned, all of which led to immense increases in the state’s receipts profile.
The critics, certainly, cannot deplore the humanitarian face and demeanor already deployed by the Ambode government in Lagos. The governor has used the instrumentality of his office to bring smiles of joy to individuals across the state. From the victims of horrific petrol tanker explosions to state residents in dire need of medical interventions, especially outside the shores of the country, Governor Ambode has not only brought succour to the masses, he has established the necessary machinery through the deft deployment of resources to ensure long term solutions to similar problems when they occur in the future.
Ambode has equally brought long-sought relief to retirees of various parastatals and agencies of the state; this past August, the governor approved the release of N11bn to offset arrears owed to these former civil servants since 2010, not only for those employed directly by the state government, but those employed by local governments and parastatals within the state.

For Attempting To Rape Her, See What Woman Did To Husband’s Friend’s Penis (Photo)

A rape attempt in Akwa-Ibom state went awfully wrong, when the intended victim turned the tables around and the hunter eventually became the hunted.
A certain Linus Ibok who had affection for his best friend’s wife, sought various means to get her to sleep with him but did not find any and so he resorted to rape.
The incident reportedly took place in the Ikono Local Government Area of the state.
On the said day of the incident, Linus had stalked his prey, Mrs Okon Iniabasi, following her all the way to her farmland. And the unsuspecting Iniabasi thought he only wanted to help her with some farm chores; based on his relationship with the family.
However, she was shocked when the alleged rapist began to make confessions of his undying love for her, a gesture which she reportedly rebuked him for.
She went on to ask him to leave the farm, threatening to report to her husband. It was at this juncture that Ibok caught hold of the seemly helpless woman and attempted to rape her.
According to reports by Daily Post, she allegedly played along and let him undress, and when he was fully unclad, she used her machete to cut off his penis.
Having dealt him a big blow, she ran to the village to inform villagers, who rushed to the farm to meet Ibok bleeding profusely, with his penis severed.
As of the time of filing this report, he was still at the hospital where the villagers had rushed him.

SEE What Happened To 27-Year-Old Man After ‘Having Fun’ With 2 Prostitutes (PHOTO)

Residents of Kubwa, a satellite town in Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory, were shocked and scared following the news that a 27-year-old man was found dead in his room in the Pipeline area.
Man dies in his room
Neighbours of the deceased revealed that the man, who was identified only as Bello, spent the night with two women. They alleged that the women were prostitutes, and Bello invited them to his room on Sunday night “to have fun”.
The next morning, after the man was not seen outside, the neighbours raised the alarm and forced the door open.
According to reliable sources, Bello had been warned by his friends to desist from such acts, but all advice fell on deaf ears.
Commenting on the tragic incident, Badejo Yekini, the deceased’s landlord, said:
“I think he deserved what he got. He was a chronic womanizer who always derived pleasure in spending a whole night with prostitutes, not caring to know who they really were.
“To avoid such occurrences, men of this generation must learn how to control their libido.”
Meanwhile, a very close friend of the deceased, who pleaded for anonymity, said that he was “saddened” by the development. However, he confessed that the incident did not take him by surprise, adding: “I always warned him, but he would not listen”.
The remains of the deceased were taken to the mortuary at the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital, Gwagwalada, by his relatives.

Why I Approved Purchase Of N255M Bulletproof Cars - Oduah

Senator Stella Oduah, a former minister of aviation has revealed why she approved the 2013 purchase of two bulletproof BMW cars by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA).
Speaking at a Federal High Court in Lagos, Oduah said the cars were not bought for her personal use, The Nation reports.
According to Oduah, the vehicles were bought for the use of International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) officials, who were in the country to inspect and confirm the 22 airports being rehabilitated under her watch.
The Senator representing Anambra North in the Senate added that the Vehicles were acquired to safeguard the foreign officials lives from the rampaging insurgents who were bombing and killing in the Northeast.
Senator Stella Oduah
She said: “The bulletproof cars were necessary because the visit of the airport inspectors coincided with the peak of Boko Haram terrorists’ menace in the country, when the United Nations building and the headquarters of the Nigeria Police Force were bombed in Abuja.
“It was thus imperative that the NCAA, which is an apex regulatory authority in the Nigerian aviation industry, operating under the SARPs of the ICAO and subject to assessment by ICAO, acquire its own armoured vehicles for the use of the ICAO officials coming for inspection and certification at the time.”
Oduah noted that that the bullet-proof vehicles were captured in the 2013 budget as they were duly obtained in line with the Bureau of Public Procurement regulations.
At the hearing, Justice Mohammed Yunusa restrained the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) from arresting Oduah until her suit is determined.
The judge also stopped the Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), the Attorney-General of the Federation and the Inspector-General of Police from inviting the Oduah for interrogation.
Senator Stella Oduah was accused of purchasing the bullet-proof cars in 2013 while she was in office. The vehicles were said to have cost N255million, an amount that triggered outrage.
She was reportedly quizzed last year over the scandal by the operatives of the EFCC.
